A subcategory of alternative assets, which constitutes an asset class consisting of assets not classified within traditional or classic asset classes, and at the same time having physical properties. This includes assets such as, or investments in, real estate, commodities (e.g., gold and silver), natural resources, and infrastructure.
Alternative assets that are tangible may also include investments in physical collectibles such as trading cards.
