An abbreviated designation for the percent gain or loss that a portfolio has achieved over the previous ten-year period. Determination of a 10 Yr. % involves gain/ loss calculation for partial periods (usually annual). Percentage return is an indication of how much returns a portfolio generates over time. For example, if the percentage return, 10 Yr. %, is 150%, it means that the portfolio has generated 1.5 times the amount initially invested.
Broadly, for any period or time horizon, “as of” date is used to imply the point of time at the end of which a portfolio’s performance is measured.
