Deal Flow


The rate of new deals that come in to the investment banking unit of a brokerage firm (broker), including proposals for new stock and bond offerings as well as combination transactions (i.e., mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers. Deal flow indicates the quantity and quality of investment opportunities available to an investing or funding firm, etc.

Deal flow is originated by indirect contracts through referrals, among other means.
