Ahliyyat al-Ada


Arabic (أهلية الأداء) for active legal capacity or capacity of execution/ performance; a term that describes a person’s fitness or capacity to undertake or perform an act or conduct with legal repercussions, in an active manner. In other words, it refers to the ability of a person to manage exercise his/ her own rights and undertake obligations in a manner recognized by the shari’ah.

Ahliyyat al-ada has two different types: ahliyyat al-ada al-naqisah (incomplete active capacity) and ahliyyat al-ada al-kamilah (complete active capacity).
