Waqf Ghair Mubashar


A form of waqf (Islamic endowment) whose assets are intended for investment (i.e., generating income). The income generated from managing the waqf assets will be used in constructing and reconstructing waqf properties.

Waqf ghair mubashar (وقف غير مباشر) is Arabic for indirect waqf.

It is also referred to as waqf istithmari.
