Upside Trend

A trend (extended or persistent movement in a certain direction) that represents an increase in market prices over time, or from period to period. If a market is in an upside trend, the value of stocks, in general, or an index is going up over time.

In general, any market variable may show or experience an upside trend including stock prices, commodity prices, key economic indicators (e.g., inflation), and so on.
