An account with a financial institution that bears no compensation. It is a non-profit bearing, guaranteed loan (qard/ qardh) that is extended by a client to an institution with the understanding that the loaned amount is always available for repayment on demand. The qard is effected by means of a current account opened for the depositing client out of which the client can withdraw money as and when needed virtually without restrictions in terms of amount or time.
This account is specifically designed to meet the requirements of an institution’s customers by allowing them easy access to the funds placed in the account, at any time to accomodate their personal or business needs for money.
