An Arabic term (أجر الوكالة) that translates as agent’s remuneration. In wakalah/ wakala (agency), and its forms, it is the total amount of compensation an agent (wakeel) receives (or will receive, being a receivable) from the principal (muwakkel) against its efforts and management skills in investing the funds dedicated for the purpose.
Ajr al-wakalah consists of the fixed fee (ujrah thabitah) and variable remuneration (ujrah mutaghayyrah).
