Ajeer Khas

A worker or employee (ajeer) who is hired to work for an employer for a specific wage or salary (ajr or ujrah). The worker is employed for a known period of time in order to perform a well-defined job/ function/ task. An example of ajeer khas is an accountant who is employed by a company to take care of its books and financials. During the period of the contract, the worker is not allowed to work for another employer (so that to avoid conflict of interest and any nuances to his current employer). The worker must make his capabilities and competences available to his employer whenever and wherever he is asked to do so. Moreover, he must be subject to the command of his employer in terms of the tasks assigned to him and the instructions about how to perform them.

Ajeer khas is an Arabic term (أجير خاص) for special worker.
