Offering Price


The price at which the underwriter of an initial public offering (IPO) offers to sell the new issue to the investing public. It is the price per share (security) that the original investors pay for their purchases of securities offered for sale. For example, if a new issue of a given stock is priced at $30 a share, the offering price is $30.

This price is also known as a public offering price.
