IPO Halt


A circuit breaker process that activates on suspicion of any potential manipulation on an offering price. It aims to suspend trading for a while on an initial public offering (IPO) to prevent irregular, manipulative trading. Trading would continue when the exchange (bourse/ market) sees that there are no reasons for the halt to remain in effect.
