Heart Bond


A bond that is issued by a private nonprofit entity such as a hospital, school, church, etc. Typically, an issuer would play on buyers’ benevolence, philanthropy, or religious impulse rather than their economic judgment. In other words, it would try to gain buyers’ sympathy with its cause in order for them to contribute to financing its needs.
