Refinancing Wall
October 2, 2020

The period in which many existing debt arrangements come due or approach maturity. For example, loans, bonds, and leveraged buyout (LBO) deals transacted some years ago may be coming due or approaching their repayment dates now or during a specific future period.

A debt maturity wall may also refer to the total amount of debt that will mature during a specific period such as three years or five years. Issuers often seek to extend the maturity wall further by refinancing their debt.

It is also known as a refinancing wall or simply as a maturity wall.
