Off-Exchange Liquidity


The market liquidity that is created by means of off-exchange trading such as upstairs markets and electronic trading platforms– i.e., alternative trading systems (ATSs) in the US, multilateral trading facilities (MTFs) in Europe, electronic communication networks (ECNs), crossing networks, dark pools, etc.

These trading platforms provide liquidity in stocks that are listed off-exchange.
