Refinancing Wall

The period in which many existing debt arrangements come due or approach maturity. For example, loans, bonds, and leveraged buyout (LBO) deals transacted some years ago may be coming due or approaching their repayment dates now or during a specific future period.

A refinancing wall may also refer to the total amount of debt that will mature during a specific period such as three years or five years. Issuers often seek to extend the maturity wall further by refinancing their debt.

It is also known as a maturity wall or a debt maturity wall.
