Awsuq

Arabic (أوسق) for plural of wasaq (وسق); an Islamic weight measurement unit that is equivalent, according to the majority of fuqaha (jumhoor) except Abu Haneefah, to 130.56 kilogram. It is also equivalent to 60 sa’a (another weight measure unit which is equal to 2175 gram). An example of the use of awsuq (pl. of wasaq) is the determination of zakah nisab as five awsuq (i.e., 5 × 130.56 = 652.8 kg.)

One wasaq is also equivalent to three qafeezes (aqfizah).
