Ahliyyah al-Wujub Al-Kamilah


Arabic (أهلية الوجوب الكاملة) for being fully eligible for taklif/ takleef, i.e., the capacity (ahliyyah) of a person to enjoy and exercise legal rights and assume responsibility (liability for rights exercised against him/ her). This applies to both the capacity to enjoy rights (ilzam) and the ability to take up responsibility/ obligations (iltizam).

Full legal capacity = enjoyment of rights + responsibility for actions (obligations)

Rights enjoyed by birth include parentage, entitlement to inheritance and wills, etc. Obligations include payment of zakah, arsh relating to penal offenses, liability for damages, etc.

Ahliyyah al-wujub al-kamilah is a subset of ahliyyah al-wujub.
