Equity Preferred


A preferred that has the features of equity (e.g., common stocks) without a fixed maturity date. Equity preferred stocks are similar to common stock in terms of perpetuity and indefinite maturity. However, similar to bonds, these preferreds pay fixed payments but in the form of dividends rather than interest.
