On-The-Quote Limit Order

A limit order (a buy or sell order) that restricts the maximum price (payable) to the current bid in the market or the minimum price (receivable) to the current offer in the market, that is, on the quote. In either case, the limit price will be restricted to the current market price.

With this order, the current market price (quote) will not be changed. The only changeable variable is the quantity (amount) on the respective side of the market.
