Spreadlock Option


An option that allows a market participant to enter into a spreadlock agreement on a specific yield spread (a given number of basis points over a certain benchmark).

It may also refer to an option to roll one or a set of successive futures contracts further into the future (i.e., to more distant months) at a predetermined spread (in absolute terms or relative to the fair value of the contracts).
