An unhedged option strategy which exclusively follows one of two basic strategies: short call (selling or writing call options) and short put (selling or writing put options). These positions are considered naked strategies because no offsetting or risk-reducing position in another option or the underlying is entered in order to cover potential risk exposure therein.
