Hard Commodity Futures


A commodity futures in which the underlying is a hard commodity such as gold (gold futures), silver (silver futures), copper (copper futures), iron (iron futures), etc. Users of such commodities resort to hard commodity futures to secure their future needs of them and whereby avoid price fluctuations over the period until the actual needs arise.

Hard commodity futures can be settled either through physical settlement or cash settlement.
