Hedgilator


An investor/ trader who assumes the roles of a hedger taking a specific position and a speculator taking an opposite position using options.

It could also refer to a trader who doesn’t currently hedge in the hope that such a course of action would be of a trivial effect or would prove to be unnecessary.

Linguistically, hedgilator is a combination of “hedger” and “speculator“.
