Digital Swap


A swap structure which entails the extension or cancelation of the agreement at a specific point in time during the swap term. This structure is equivalent to a regular swap combined with a European swaption that expires on the same date on which extension or cancelation takes place. This swap is digital or binary in the sense that it can result in either of two outcomes: extension or termination.

A digital swap is also known as a binary swap.
