Musaqah


A partnership (sharikah) in which one party presents designated plants/ trees that produce edible fruits to another party (irrigating worker- musaqi or saqi) who undertakes irrigation works in consideration for a common, defined share in the fruits. In essence, musaqah is a form of mudarabah which is confined to irrigation activities.

Musaqat, or also musaqa or musaqat is Arabic (مساقاة) for working in irrigation or irrigation contract (aqd al-musaqah).
