A currency in which the ask price is less than 100 pips above the bid price. In this case, two digits will be displayed on the right side of the slash (in a given currency pair). For example, EUR/USD 1.3056/08 indicates a strong quote currency (in which case is the US dollar).
In a situation where the ask price exceeds the bid price by more than 100 pips (for a given currency pair), the currency in question is said to be a weak quote currency.
