Non-Statutory Reserve


Any types of reserves that are created and allocated for a specified purpose but not established by a statutory or bylaw. This may include funds assigned and allocated for unexpected or emergency expenditures or are set aside for determined or determinable future spending, such as funds earmarked for the repercussions of specific catastrophes, diseases (COVID-19), etc.

Examples of non-statutory reserves include fair value reserves, asset revaluation reserves, capital reserves, etc.
