Kangaroo Bond


A type of foreign bond (also foreign issuer bond) which is issued in the Australian market by non-domiciled firms, and is denominated in Australian dollar and subject to Australian laws and regulations. This bond is mainly used to allow foreign issuers to raise capital by giving them access to Australian capital markets.

This bond is also referred to as an Australian dollar bond or a Matilda bond.
