Scalp Trader


A trader who follows the very-short strategy of making lots of trades over short-periods of time (typically a few minutes). A scalp trader scalps a relatively small amounts of profit off a series of consecutive trades during the course of the day (trading session). In doing so, scalp traders look for opportunities in short-term price swings in different market conditions (between bullish and bearish or bullish and bearish reversals).

Scalp traders are required to devout all their daily time to observe charts so that they instantly place orders based on short-term trends, using technical analysis techniques.

Scalp traders are also referred to as scalpers.
