Arabic (المحتال عليه) for the party accepting the debt (dayn/ dain– دين) liability that needs to be discharged or repaid to the assignee/ transferee (al-muhaal– المحال) by virtue of the debt assignment/ debt transfer (hawalat al-dayn– حوالة الدين).
Al-muhtaal alaihi is also called al-muhaal alaihi (المحال عليه).
