A certificate of deposit that offers an investor the choice to combine any desired maturity and deposit size to meet certain requirements. In other words, it allows the investment of whatever amount of money and for whatever maturity in the form of a CD. It is a generally established fact that interest rates vary with the maturity and size of a given CD. Longer maturities and larger deposits expectedly pay higher rates.
