Hands-On Investor

An investor who takes an active role in the management of the company in which he has a large stake (usually in the form of shares). A hands-on investor usually has the time and capabilities to manage his own portfolio. Therefore, an actively managed investment company may not appeal to this type of investors. Management fees may be an issue for hands-on investors who don’t want management fees to eat into their returns. The more active an investor is, the more fees will be important to him.

A hands-on investor is also known as a active investor.
