Captive Private Equity Fund


A private equity fund in which the funder is the parent company. In other words, a parent company or sponsor, such as a bank or an insurance firm, contributes all the capital for investment. Therefore, the management company of the fund is typically a subsidiary wholly owned by the parent company. Captive private equity funds invest in target ventures, following financially and strategically driven missions and objectives.
